Heroes Of The Party.

Today I've got a little treat for you. Courtesy of Northern Beaches DJ/Producer duo Hero's Of The Party. Relative newcomers to the scene they're making a big splash with multiple gigs at Sydney's Candys apartment and a long running mixtape series called Heroes and Villains mixtapes (which are all available for download on their myspace) which is released as a double cd set, featuring 2 mixes, one hero, one villain.
Today i have for you one of the villain mixtapes from the 4th installment in the set. Beginning with a wicked sample and going straight into the wobbly bangin electro stuff from there. Some older bombs are present throughout aswell giving the mix a great feeling of parties past, present and future.

That said these boys also have a few remixes and originals up their sleeves although due to an unfortunate incident lost a great deal of their work they have donated a few of their new tunes on which they've been tirelessly working to complete. One word comes to mind to describe these tunes. FUN!

(Crassic Track!)

(surprise bomb!)

(great opening set tune!)

Heroes of the Party will be playing Candys apartment again on the 4th of September along with our very own Coopa, be sure to get down there and check these boys in action, untill then the villain mixtape should tide you over.
Keep up the good work guys, keep em coming.

Now at the age of 33 having returned to Sydney to establish his brand "Indigo Muzik" and Record Label "Indigo Records" he is set to mark his mark on Australia's Dance Music scene.

He has been producing and creating beats in between his Engineering duties for 10yrs and has now finally decided to return to Oz after the last 8 years as a Sound/AV Engineer to focus on his Record Label, his Music and have some God Damn Fun!!!.

Having worked and supported Artists and DJ's like John Digweed, Luke Chable, James Zabiela, Hatiras, Eric Entrana, Dirty South, Dan Mangan, Danny Bonnici, Hans Zimmerman, John Aquaviva, Hernan Cattaneo, Christian Padararu, Marco V, PQM, Claude Vonstroke, Nic Fanciulli, Steve May, Markus Schulz, The Presets, Infusion, Matthew Dekay and others as well as played at Manumission is Spain, extensively in the UK and Germany and recently returned from Dubai where he was the resident DJ at Elegante and also regular guest spots at Trilogy and MOS in Dubai.

With numerous tracks waiting to be Released and the recent release of Record Label "Indigo Records" and the creation of the Indigo Muzik website, 2010 is the year of the Indigo Children.

In fact I felt it would be very important to show you all just what this man is capable of, so i requested a mix, and this is how it goes;

(Festival Bomb Mix)

With the music industry pouring out of every pore its no doubt that this soon to be launched record label Indigo Muzik is in more than capable hands. Here's a short blurb he's put together to give you some more information.

Indigo Muzik and Indigo Records is a new Independent Dance Music label setup up in Sydney Australia to tailor to the next generation of Australian and International Artists and DJ's.

It's specific goal is to take Dance Music into its next phase of evolution with the forward thinking and drive of the Indigo generation.

"Indigo children are part of the new generation who experience difficulty fitting into the education system and the social norm. They are often lonely and isolated due to the fact that they are misunderstood and unheard in their world. They would often prefer their own company or the company of like minded individuals, adults or the opposite gender"

"Based on this reason, these children are right brain dominant. They need an environment that is flexible, challenging and offers change. Being right brain dominant will grant them brilliance in creativity, whether in analytical thought, creative writing, speech, art, Music or Artistic performance"

In the ever evolving Industry that is Dance Music and the current change of technology from vinyl and CD to the new age Midi controllers and DAW programs you need to be ahead of this curve of drastic change and exciting new technologies in order to be a successful Producer/DJ or Remixer.

At Indigo Records we cater for the specific needs and requirements of todays up and coming new talent.

Indigo Muzik is the voice of a new generation and we look forward to bringing you the best New and Talented Artists from Australia and Abroad.

To celebrate this new collaboration I Hope You Do Enjoy The Show will be an official talent scout for this new label sure to take Sydney and Australia by storm. So aspiring talent, you know what to do, keep shooting through those mixtapes, and know that by sending them through you are auditioning for this new one of a kind label. Bootlegs, Remixes, Mashups and Original tunes welcome too. We will also be featuring some of the labels artists and DJ's on a regular basis to keep you up to date on fucking sexy muzik.

Stay tuned as soon we will be launching the label and website with a whole lot more exciting goodies.

More exposure for new talent and loving those with a love for muzik, Thats what it's all about. So kids, if you got some wicked skills, we want you. Send us your stuff.

Doctor Werewolf

Well Well Well, it's about time we had a chance to write something about these guys, I am very proud to present to you, Doctor Werewolf.

Tearing up dance floors around Sydney and Australia Doctor Werewolf have a style rivaled by none, their dirty ravey remixes of hard metal, spanning all the way to cutesy synth pop, have captivated crowds since the very beginning of their 5 year presence on the scene.

Adam Zae and Andrew Bell make up Doctor Werewolf and are a part of Sydney's 'Troublemakers' who, incase you don't know work right out of our number 1. club Chinese Laundry. With several epic remixes to date and more original works to come this year its easy to see why the doctors are getting soo much love at the moment.

Incase you don't believe me you can check it out for yourself right her... I have for you a selection of tunes sure to make you look into the sky, howl at the moon and... turn really hairy... bite the person next to you, and wake up the next morning not knowing what happened but lacking all of your clothes. By the way, when asked to describe the style of these tunes, Adam replies... "We try not to genrefy what we do cause we both have very random taste in music but our influences span from electronic dance music to metal, trip hop and even blues and classical. Live, we play a freaky blend of ravey shit, rocky shit, heavy shit and dirty shit with some bouncy shit for good measure."

(Not to be confused with WCW's gang of 6-7ft tall mixed racial wrestling crew.)

Containing;

Metallica - Enter Sandman (Doctor Werewolf Remix) (320kbps) (Fucking HUUGE tune)
Bon Jovi - Livin On A Prayer (Doctor Werewolf Remix) (320kbps) (aah, sweet nostalgia)
Far Too Loud - Play It Loud (Doctor Werewolf Remix) (320kbps) (have glowsticks?)
Doctor Werewolf - Zero (Original Mix) (320kbps) (as above.)

AAAnd...

Now, what i need you all to do is go to the troublemakers site, go to the artists page, and read more about them, download their promo pack, fall in love with them, realise that Adam Zae also hosts Club Club EVERY week, Produces solo under 'Adam Zae' (I posted his remix of 'The Champion' - One Man Army earlier last month... remember?? (if not here's the link)) and he's also a mad rapper / MC, dudes full of talent. Honestly doing wicked things... Anyway,

If you want to check these guys out sometime they're at Laundry on the 14th of this month (Next friday night) with Blaze Trip for Lowdown which is sure to be a killer night so get your asses down to support.

A few more links for good measure;

xx

Dizz 'n' Draz

So... its been a little while since i've posted something but i swear to you all its worth the wait. Once again gracing us with his mixtape skills is Dizz, you may remember a few weeks back i posted his very impressive solo mix, containing everything from some serious distortion to jackin' electro b-more styles, anyway, I got another one to share with you...

Coming fresh from the studio and mixed with another lad who goes by the name of Draz this mix has much the same feel as its predecessor, with a few more cheeky cheesy faves slapped in there for good measure, and I'm sure if you liked the last one, this will be one for the collection as well. Its wonderfully put together and is sure to keep your toes a tappin from start to finish.

Check it out.

(tracklist in comments)

Once again for anymore info on these boys get on their myspace's;

Just quietly... spotted a wicked little vid taken behind the scenes of the Swedish House Mafia's interview with Dj Mag. Check it out.... we can all dream.

Much Love.
