With a musical background that pushes back further than a decade, including an extensive knowledge of guitar, piano and orchestra composition, Cameron Cooper-Payten – COOPA, is quickly turning the heads of the dance industry he’s just barely scratched the surface of.

Coming from Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, COOPA has only hit the clubs in the last six months and has definitely not gone unnoticed. With a great advantage of having near perfect pitch, his seamless beat-matching and in-key mixing is just the start of what this passionate boy brings to the table through his feet stomping sets.

His current monthly mixes; COOPA: Sessions has been a fantastic success, running for over two years, has produced creditable feedback from American DJ Darryl Von Rokk, US Radio website InSoulWeTrust, Blog website engine Hype-M, and several of Australian Djs/Producers.

After only a year of distributing his bootlegs and mixtapes, COOPA has found himself playing to crowds regularly at Sydney’s Hot Spots such as Chinese Laundry, Candy’s Apartment, The Arthouse Hotel, Le’Panic, Nevermind, Carmens, Dragonfly, Lincoln Hotel and Soho Nightclub, and also playing throughout Sydney as duo group, Twisted DJs. Gathering support and positive feedback from the likes of Hook N Sling, Stray & Grass, John Glover, Ben Morris, James Taylor, Kato, Spruce Lee, Anna Lunoe, D-CUP, Mindgutter, Yolanda Be Cool, Ember and many more...
